Janie Finn, Founder and President
Janie founded and built the healthcare practice of Hayden & Associates in 1986, and it was acquired by Hudson in 2003. Since that time, she has gained the trust and admiration of employers and top talent in the MedTech community through her extraordinary commitment, collaborative approach and deep industry knowledge. Through her exceptional performance and passion for her work, she has developed deep relationships and a reputation as a trusted advisor to the MedTech community. Today she is the nation’s go-to recruiting expert within this niche market. Janie is an active volunteer, community leader, charity board member and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Emory University.
Kris Janey, Vice President
Kris leverages her deep knowledge of the recruiting and medical device industries to align the strengths of the industry’s top talent with opportunities in a variety of functional areas. She worked alongside Janie Finn at Hudson and helped to grow the MedTech practice, and her 15+ years of recruiting experience include a long tenure at Pro Staff. Kris has led multiple operating units, cultivated internal staff, and significantly grown revenues and market share in strategic accounts across the country. Kris is a proud alumnus of North Dakota State University.
Chris Gustanski, Vice President
Chris combines a thorough approach to recruiting and assessing talent, with deep knowledge about various functional areas within MedTech companies. Prior to joining the search industry in 2007, he spent 15+ years as a senior marketer and business development executive. Before joining Finnesse Partners, Chris served as a search consultant for DHR International and McKinley Group. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota and a Master of International Management from the University of St. Thomas.
Dana Shapiro, Recruitment Manager
Dana is dedicated to helping clients hire candidates whose knowledge and personality uniquely qualify them for their organization’s position and culture. Prior to joining the search industry in early 2015, Dana was in business development for the B2B software industry. In addition to her interest in everything MedTech, she is a choreographer, jewelry designer and kayaker. She enjoys walking around the lakes in her spare time and is an alumnus of Ithaca College.
Sue Smith, Office Manager
Sue ensures everything at Finnesse Partners runs like a well-oiled machine. She has worked in the staffing industry for more than a decade, and manages all operations, administration and support, including vendor relationships, executive assistance, coordinating interviews and streamlining processes. In her spare time, Sue enjoys going out with friends, walking, biking and spending time with her family.
Marc Ertl, Chief Financial Officer
Marc manages all financial functions of the company and advises management on financial issues. He has worked in multiple industries, including MedTech, over his 25-year accounting career. Marc is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Marc is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities with his family.
